DWTS

Ummm...is anyone else excited that Melissa from the Bachelor is going to be on Dancing with the Stars this season?!?! I cannot wait to watch it tonight! I just love her! :)

We had a great weekend in St. Augustine...but of course it was very sad! My grandparents are just getting so old so it makes me really sad when I have to leave after visiting with them. I know they enjoyed us coming down though. We got there around 9 on Friday and stayed up pretty late visiting. Saturday we went and picked up breakfast for them and then went to the outlets and rode around town so that my grandparents could rest. Saturday night we cooked dinner and visited some more! It was a very relaxing weekend and it was great to see them!

Closing is TODAY! :) Moving in this afternoon...YAY! :)

Have a great Monday!

Spring Fever!

Today is BEAUTIFUL! Only one more hour at work and me and the bf are headed to St. Augustine, FL to visit my grandparents. I haven't seen them since Christmas and my grandmother has been in the hospital twice since then. :( So I NEED to get down there and spend some time with them! We will have a relaxing weekend and hopefully hit up the fabulous outlets in St. A tomorrow afternoon. See ya'll on Monday, which is...CLOSING DAY! :)

Giveaways!

Misadventures of a Newlywed is giving away a super cute tote that would be perfect for the beach or boat!

Horse, Hound, and Home is giving away an adorable makeup bag that will fit all of your goodies!

Preppy Little Dress is giving away the new Lilly stationary! A-dor-a-ble!

Happy Entering! :)

Stuffed!

I am currently about to fall asleep at my desk thanks to...

I am not sure why I insisted on stuffing my face with the entire Taco Loco?! Thank goodness my boss isn't here today...

AND why is Mexican food SO much better when accompanied with a margarita?

That's all for now...

Progress

We have been furniture shopping over and over it seems! Fortunately, it is a lot of fun! On our budget there is really not too much that I am dieing to have! So...we just stuck with these couches (of course none of the other crap pictured!):

If I were picking them out on my own I would have done something completely different, but I do still like these a lot!

I am wanting to go with these colors for pillows and an accent chair. I don't think I like these actual pillows very much, but definitely these colors!

I am also kind of nervous as to how this "expresso" color will look on wood floors. Eventually there will be a rug though, so I don't think it will matter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hope everyone is having a great day! It is freeeezing here, but it is supposed to be in the 80s this weekend! YAY! :)

Dear Jason

I am so mad at you!!!! I cannot believe what happened on The Bachelor finale last night! I loved Melissa and thought that they made an adorable couple! I don't dislike Molly, but Melissa was definitely my favorite! I wonder what the "surprise" tonight is going to be?

Regardless, I think Melissa handled the situation very well! I think he was a jerk for ending things the way that he did. If they have been talking everyday and spendinga a lot of time together could he not have ended things before they went on national television? Ughhh. And if I were Molly I don't think I would take him back so easily.

Thoughts?

Team Melissa!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful Monday! I am struggling a bit this morning. We had an exhausting weekend!

Friday, we went to dinner at a really cool place downtown called Chai's. I have been wanting to eat there for a long time! However, I was not very impressed! It is still a really cool bar, though. We then ended up at a wine bar that is also on King Street called Raval. I love this place and it is also rumored that Michael Phelps hung out here while he was in town awhile back!

Saturday, we met my family for brunch at The Lost Dog Cafe on Folly. This is my favorite breakfast ever! I was also excited to see my Dad, Stepmom, and little sister. My little sister is a wild child...but that is another post for another day! We then ventured to Johns Island to try and find a furniture store that is supposedly going out of business...no luck there! Saturday night, we met some friends on Sullivan's Island.

Yesterday, it was one of my best friends birthday. I made her a yummy red velvet cake and we met her and some other friends on Isle of Palms for brunch at Morgan Creek Grill and then went to Vickerys on Shem Creek.

Yeah...so we went to bed at about 8 pm last night! HA! I thought I would wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to go back to bed...but thankfully I slept peacefully until my alarm went off this morning!

We are going to have pretty busy week getting stuff ready for the house. Closing date is set for next Monday. One. Week. Away. We have no living room furniture, no bedroom furniture, no refrigerator, no dining room table. We have looked almost everywhere and know what we want, but we just haven't bought anything yet. AND we won't be able to do anything this coming weekend, because we are going to visit my grandparents in St. Augustine, Florida. So this week will be busy and expensive! YAY! :)

I guess everyone else is the South got some snow yesterday and last night! We did not have any...which I am kind of happy about! I am dreaming of long, sunny days spent on the boat...Ahhh...
