Team Melissa!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful Monday! I am struggling a bit this morning. We had an exhausting weekend!

Friday, we went to dinner at a really cool place downtown called Chai's. I have been wanting to eat there for a long time! However, I was not very impressed! It is still a really cool bar, though. We then ended up at a wine bar that is also on King Street called Raval. I love this place and it is also rumored that Michael Phelps hung out here while he was in town awhile back!

Saturday, we met my family for brunch at The Lost Dog Cafe on Folly. This is my favorite breakfast ever! I was also excited to see my Dad, Stepmom, and little sister. My little sister is a wild child...but that is another post for another day! We then ventured to Johns Island to try and find a furniture store that is supposedly going out of business...no luck there! Saturday night, we met some friends on Sullivan's Island.

Yesterday, it was one of my best friends birthday. I made her a yummy red velvet cake and we met her and some other friends on Isle of Palms for brunch at Morgan Creek Grill and then went to Vickerys on Shem Creek.

Yeah...so we went to bed at about 8 pm last night! HA! I thought I would wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to go back to bed...but thankfully I slept peacefully until my alarm went off this morning!

We are going to have pretty busy week getting stuff ready for the house. Closing date is set for next Monday. One. Week. Away. We have no living room furniture, no bedroom furniture, no refrigerator, no dining room table. We have looked almost everywhere and know what we want, but we just haven't bought anything yet. AND we won't be able to do anything this coming weekend, because we are going to visit my grandparents in St. Augustine, Florida. So this week will be busy and expensive! YAY! :)

I guess everyone else is the South got some snow yesterday and last night! We did not have any...which I am kind of happy about! I am dreaming of long, sunny days spent on the boat...Ahhh...

  1. Sounds like you had a fun weekend! When we bought our house, we checked out every. single. store. that was going out of business or had sales. We got a few things here and there, but when we got the best things was CRAIGSLIST. Check out Craigslist. Some of the stuff is crap, but some stuff is nice stuff that people just can't take with them. Look at it and see if you can find anything. Can't hurt!
